1.7 Reporting an Inappropriate Review

How do I report a review?

Before you report a review, please read more about our guidelines and the reasons why we might remove a review. Reviewbah is a community-driven site, and removing photos, reviews, or other user content is not something we take lightly—we generally allow users to stand behind what they write. We’ll send a message to your registered email when the content has been evaluated by our moderators, which may take several days. We’ll also notify the reviewer if their content is removed.

To report a review

  1. Locate the review
  2. Tap the 3 dots More options icon
  3. Tap Report an issue

Can I request a second evaluation of something I reported that did not get removed?

If you’d like us to reevaluate something that you’ve already reported, please contact our Support team.

Please note that we remove user-posted content when we determine it violates our Content Guidelines, and original decisions about removing that content are not commonly reversed. We have a dedicated team of people who evaluate the photos, reviews, and other posts that users bring to our attention. Some decisions are easier than others, but the team often has to make tough calls based on various types of information that may not always be visible to users on Reviewbah.

What should I do if I reported content and didn’t hear back?

When you report content that may violate Reviewbah’s Content Guidelines or Terms of Service, Reviewbah’s moderators will carefully investigate the content. For reviews, Reviewbah may initially confirm your request has been received and then share our decision within a few business days.

If it’s been more than a week since your original outreach, please contact our Support team.

Can I report a review that I think was plagiarized from another source?

Reviewbah users are not allowed to post reviews that are plagiarized from other authors, though we respect lawful fair uses of copyrighted materials. Broadly, we ask that our users stick to describing their own experience in their own words.

If you see a questionable review, please report it. Please let our moderators know where they can find the original source of the material you believe was plagiarized.

Can I report a review if I think it contains someone’s private or personal information?

Reviewbah users are not allowed to post private information in a review, such as a waiter’s full name or address. If you see a questionable review, please report it.

Please note that we do allow reviewers to use full names in certain circumstances, including references to doctors, lawyers, realtors and other business professionals who are commonly identified by their full names.

Can I report a review that’s outdated?

Reviews do not expire, and all of a business’s recommended reviews count towards its overall rating (regardless of how old any particular review may be). However, the most recent, relevant, and reliable reviews are featured first and foremost. Please note that Reviewbah users may post reviews based on their past experiences regardless of when they occurred.
