1.3 Using the Reviewbah App

How do I allow the Reviewbah app to access the photos on my phone?

On iOS devices, you’ll be prompted to allow the Reviewbah app to access your photos when you first use the app. If you chose Don’t Allow or if your privacy settings were changed later on, you won’t be able to upload photos to Reviewbah from your iPhone or iPad.

To manually allow the Reviewbah app to access your photos

  1. Tap the Settings application
  2. Tap Privacy
  3. Tap Photos
  4. Tap Reviewbah and then select Read and Write

Note that you won’t need to enable access on an Android device.

How do I enable Location Services on my mobile device?

Many aspects of the Reviewbah app, such as seeing “Nearby” feeds, and local searches are not optimized unless you allow Reviewbah to use your device’s location. With location access enabled on your device, the Reviewbah app will default to your current location when it’s opened and a search is entered. You can change this default location by tapping on the location bar and selecting a new one.

To turn on location access on an iPhone or iPad

  1. Tap on your device’s Settings app
  2. Tap Privacy
  3. Tap Location Services
  4. Toggle the switch to On
  5. Scroll down to the Reviewbah app icon
  6. Select While Using the App or Always

Alternatively you can change these settings from inside the iPhone or iPad app

  1. Tap More
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Location Services
  4. Tap Location Settings which will take you to your device’s main settings
  5. Tap Location
  6. Select While Using the App or Always

To turn on location access on an Android device

  1. Tap on your device’s Settings app
  2. Tap Location
  3. Tap Google Location Reporting
  4. Tap Location Reporting
  5. Toggle the switch to On

You can still search for businesses without turning on location access – just make sure that you are removing the “Current location” option when conducting a search, and that you are selecting the city manually.

How do I enable or change the Reviewbah app’s push notification settings?

Then, you can adjust your settings at a more granular level within the Reviewbah app itself—including Review Comments, Review Likes, New Followers, Messaging, & Announcements.

To change your push notifications for the Reviewbah app for iPhone/iPad

  1. Tap More
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Push Notifications
  4. Use the toggle switches to customize the notifications you receive from the Reviewbah app

To change your push notifications for the Reviewbah app for Android devices

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Notification Settings
  3. Use the toggle switches to customize the notifications you receive from the Reviewbah app

If the correct notifications are enabled and you’re not receiving them, we suggest you log out of the app and then log back in. If you’re still having trouble, we suggest you uninstall the Reviewbah app, restart your device, and leave the app uninstalled for a few hours before reinstalling it again.

If you continue to encounter this issue, please submit a bug report.

Why does the Reviewbah app ask for access to my photos and camera?

We need access to your device’s photo library if you’d like to post any photos that you took previously and saved.

Please note that no photos are taken or retrieved without your knowledge, and all camera actions require the user to initiate them.

Why is the Reviewbah App crashing?
